Last night I had a floating beach ball disappear from my lands water. Today as I unlinked a cave two pieces vanished before my eyes. This is getting expensive replacing these parts.
I replaced these missing items but I can lose something of more value which may be unreplaceable. I also issued a ticket but I'm not putting any faith on that as we all know just how fast they respond back.
Anyone know anything on this or what I can do to get them back?

Are any parts of your builds hanging over a region border or another parcel, and perhaps the stuff, especially after an unlink is getting returned?
Floating beach ball? Like scripted, physical? Could it have wandered off to end up in the same situation perhaps as other items, maybe returned to your lost and found?
Check parcel prim count too. Make sure stuff isn't being returned due to parcel full.

The items that vanished right in front of me weren't near the edge of the sim nor did they get returned to my inventory. Normally when they get returned to your "lost and found' you get a noticed stating so but it didn't in either of the 3 missing items.
I don't know about clearing my cache. Last time I did that I got turned into a newbie girl and I couldn't turn back into my own form for almost 2 days. Not something I want to experience again.
Now in order to send a ticket in game you have to go thru' a ton of things to do and check off before you finally are able to do so.

Would be well worth it if you haven't done so in so long. I think you are talking about a bug that once struck with a certain version that caused those issues, either way I don't recall the issue being very widespread. You will not always get a returned items message. Just a fluke I've seen running around in the past. If the objects are returned at the exact same time, they are probably really only showing as one object in your lost and found if they are indeed there due to inventory object coalescing (sp?). |
