Voice doesn't work in beta 1.16

Hi,
I tested the voice feature in the voice beta 1.14 and it worked well.
Today I tested the (Mac OS X) beta 1.16 and it didn't work at all.
I could see the Talk and Speakers buttons, press them, I could also set the preferences, but I couldn't see the dots and waves over the avatars' heads, I couldn't hear anyone speak, and my microphone wasn't active as when it is the input source (I tried pluging it in before and while SL was running).
Anyone else ?

Go to Luskwood on the Beta grid, I just spent 2 hours in a voice conversation. it works.. yours just not be working.

Perhaps it is a MAC issue; voice worked fine with my PC.

having the same problem.... infact it had never worked for me... i see the bar now but cant hear nor talk
also on a mac... i think its lack of macsupport

This time I could hear people and see the list of speakers, it's because the client accessed the voice servers (I know thanks to Little Snitch application), it means that the other times it didn't.

voice - will it cause more lag?

We all know SL is terrible for lag... sometimes to the point of not even being able to move.
Will this added voice data that needs to be pushed across the wire justa dd even more lag to an already bad situation?
What is being done to improve lag while adding more data packet generating features?

This voice thing really works randomly.
I've noticed several things :
- SLVoiceAgent (inside the SL app) cannot be opened because it may be damaged or incomplete.
- the buttons are always showing up, no matter if voice is enabled on the land.
- I'm listed with the speakers, what for ?
