permissions half way fixed and more broken

I sell a product called Mood Mixer

Until 1.9, my users were asked for permissions once, then never bothered again.
With 1.9 (original) they were asked for permissions each time they wore it.
With 1.9 (with the permissions patch) they are asked when they wear PLUS whenever they log in!

The annoyance with this is significant because MM has 8 linked objects that each require permissions. For 8 months it operated smoothly -- now I doubt a workaround is even possible.

I took the previous 1.9 build on the chin and consoled my customers as well as I could. Who at LL should I refer my 1000 unhappy customers to in regard to the current build?

Well I fixed it, for Mood Mixer anyway... requiring YET ANOTHER update.


My position on this is unaffected. LSL should not change except to add. If things are removed/changed (every change removes something) there should be a real effort at notification.

My position is that there should never be a time when the preview grid is not open, and unless it's a critical fix no change should be rolled out until it's been tested in the preview grid for a week.
