Can not log in Stuck on "connecting to region"

I have not been able to log in all day. I am stuck at conencting to region every time. I have looked in the help section and tried logging into a different sim and i have installed second life multiple times and reinstalled. I was connected fine last night and have made no changed to my computer.
Anyone know why this would happen and have a solution?

How long have you left Second Life up and running before exiting out? A lot of the time if I have this issue I just leave Second Life up on my screen till it loads. The longest I have had to sit and wait is thirty or so minutes.

I left it for over an hour, its just stuck with an hourglass and the 'connect to region' bar.
I will keep trying and cross my fingers. Thanks for the input.

Ep, yeah I say its a bug with the connection to the servers. Try contacting LL about it, not that they are too much of a help, but hey.. its worth a try.

Getting stuck at that point can indicate basically any number of problems, not just connecting. About when it prints that status message is when it loads the gl context and sound engine too. I'm not saying it's hopeless, just don't assume it's a network problem or you may be on a wild goose chase. Take a look at the logs, sometimes they'll print something useful.

Thanks for the ideas, I still can not connect and had a computer tech even check my computer to see if it is something on my end. I have left many emails and been calling and calling but get dumped into voice mail every time and still waiting to get a response.
