Referring ppl

Have any of you had any issues with referring people?

I don`t mean to sound like a pansy but..lol

I referred 2 ppl. Which should be $2,000L right?

I got 1,000 for the first referee. The second person I didn't receive anything.

We(myself and the person i referred) contacted secondlife and they told me that that character didnt refer me, and they told her something about theyll look into it and if it passes security tests (what the heck?) i will get my $L. I never got it.


I can definitely live without it, it isnt such a big deal. but i was curious if this happens often??


I guess im mainly asking because i know of other ppl who would like to join but these people are also individuals who would pay for the game, be it monthly to own land, buy more $L, etc. And that would be me helping to harvest 2ndlife some US$ so i would like my 1,000 fake money yo!


So wondering if this sort of thing is a known issue or what? getting my 1,000$L for my 2nd referree wouldn't be bad. but if i refer more i would be upset if this happened again.

I have referred several people to sl, I know of at least 5 and have only been paid for 2. The other three have told me they did use my referral however, they are now in sl and I never got the bonus....I will continue referring people but it would be nice if LL kept their end of the deal and gave me the bonus.

If they didn't really put your name in the box or whatever, there's not much LL can do.

How bout not telling them to use your name for referal and instead give them your referal LINK? This way you don't have to worry about them forgeting or spelling your name wrong wich may have been what happened. This method hasn't failed me yet. IM or Email them the link so there's little chance of human error unless they purposely screw you over.

I've had people sign up using a refereal link and not give me teh signup bonus. I'm not really concered by it, but money is always nice.

Well..good to know this -does- happen. Even though it happening isnt good.

I guess the girl i referred said she was going to keep bugging them until I got it. I was like "no, don`t do that." She can`t even use the game yet anyway, she is waiting to get paid and then buy more ram. (Game is SUPER slow on her lappy since it`s down on Ram).


But they said they`d give my account the L manually. I will have to check and see if I got it lol
