I am currently on tour in far east and away from home and have to download SL to suitable machine in internet cafes to get into world. The download installer takes a minute or so only to load to the machines .. yet today.. it's hardly working...2.53kb ps, and estimated 3.5 hours to dl...
what's up here?? or is it the internet DSL from this location today I wonder as this isn't normal at all..
Is there some problem with the download installer server today?

Same here. I've been trying to download the new client since the update and I'm still getting reallllyyyyy slowww speeds for what normally takes a couple of minutes.
edit: Oh, no, it's sped up now.
