For some reason, I don't get the ping sound when someone sends me a new IM anymore. Since I have my screen mostly covered with various windows, I tend to miss the "IM received" button. I hear all other sounds (keyboard typing etc) - anyone got the same problem?

I notice the IM ping doesn't ping if you've got the IM panel opened. Meaning, its thinking that you're already looking at the IM, so theres no need to ping you. Just close it before you switch to another app should work.
