Hi! I have no idea why, but any online game that uses 3D rendering and is played online [multiplayer] crashes a lot during play, including SL. However, multiplayer games that don't require 3D rendering, and single player games that do require 3D rendering, do not crash; it is only the games that are both online and 3D. I have tried installing the latest drivers and even got a new graphics card. Any ideas of what could be the cause or solution?

Cant do much without your pc specs

SL diffrent then anything out there , why?

everything is streamed (gigs a day)
texture sizes will blow you away compared to games (litterally millions of them)
nothing is static
1 sim can contain several gig of textures
1 avatar in SL can have more details then a entire doom3 map in polygons
you can create/script wich can do quite odd things in here :P

if youre on ati, you want www.omegadrivers.net

radeon 9800 / gf6600 card, is pretty much a min on this, so is 1024 ram, 2-3ghz (abyssal performance belove)

Latly i been having odd crashing to, out of the blue, lowered detail to half worked so far, also problems with audio stream crashing me, oh and theres the quicktime randomness if you change stream on parcel (land) sometimes youll end up staring at windows :P eh this "game" starts so fast its no biggie anyway.

Do not run this game with local light if youre in a heavy sim, it will kill your pc , fps wise this usually run on 15-25fps , you can get higher, but avatars will drop it like a rock :P

Some pc's dont like having Avatar Vertex , enabled / disabled, try out some

Note i been crashing in one sim alot latly, for some reason i always do crash there, and not everywhere else -.-

: welcome :D
