Hey guys, quick question:
Ok, so when someone sends me an IM and I'm offline I receive that IM in my inbox, and I cna hit reply and establish a talk again with the person who sent me the IM in the 1st place.

Now, I'm offline and I want to say "Hi" to one of my friends who's online on SL, I got his last IM-email he sent me, but the numbers at the begining as far as I know are the session ID number. So when I use that, it returns back to me an error reply that the session has expired.

So far I get that, but while I'm offline how can I send someone a message?
Is there a way?

Somebody gave me an IM to email box item I'm still rying to figure out how it works, so as right now I want to tell someone "Hi" in world while I'm offline, and have no clue on how to do it.

Any help and feedback is welcome.
:D

You cannot initiate an IM conversation by email.

This is a deliberate measure to prevent the system from being used to spam residents.

Hey Xavier. Try to catch me in world and I will walk you through the process to set up the box. Else, read the directions, and send me list of questions you have/ where you are not clear. Part of the reason I pass you the box was so you can help me figureout where the instructions could be clearer :)

You might also pay attention to this thread:

One of the guys there is trying to develope some sort of IM client to work while not being signed into SL. It would be great of LL could just do a Jabber server or something - would not be that hard or resource intensive. But the guy in this thread seems to be working on something...
