I just started having this problem about 3 days ago... I've been playing the game for about a year now and never had this problems and I never changed anything in my computer or my firewall..

I'll start up the game, log in and in about 1 to 5 mins of playing (doesn't matter what I'm doing or where I am in the game) it crashes back to windows with the send/don't send crash log window thing... I also tried to uninstall, download a new copy and reinstall but same thing happens.

My spec:

OS name : Windows XP Home
Processor: Intel P4 2.8ghz
Memory: 1.5gig ram
Video Card: ATI X800 Pro
Internet: Cable

All drivers ARE updated..

I don't have any other problems with my other games that I play including: BF2, BF2142, NWN2, WoW

Any ideas?

Someone please effing answer this, because I'm having the same problem, I have an ATI X1300, Pentium 4, and 768 RAM.
I think the problem is the Catalyst Control Center option with the Video Card drivers, when I uninstalled it, and installed the basic drivers with the new card ( I just got the X1300, was running an Nvidia 5500 Fx or something, and it was fine, just slow) I don't crash at all, but SL looks like crap, and the Anti Aliasing is terrible, all the lines are jagged and what not. However, when I had the Catalyst Control Center, I could get SL running extremely smooth and looking near perfect, but I would crash, as Ecks said, every few minutes back to windows.

I fixed my problem... it was ATI's drivers or the control center.. what I did was uninstalled them and installed the omega ATI drivers and now not only I don't crash anymore but my games seem to run abit smoother..

so you might want to try them..

I too downloaded and installed the Omega drivers for the ATI Radeon X1600 Pro I have and it fixed my problems I had for the crashing and zooming. It runs good now.
