nothing pisses me off more than getting up in the morning to check on the game only to find that while I was sleeping I spontaniously went offline but the game was still running....how much coding does it require for you to have the client peridocally check to see whether or not it is infact connected to the server and if not to give a message saying such? I had the game running for over 8hours with no connection, just kept dancing on the dance pad making NOTHING beceause I was not connected, woke up and had to IM someone just to see if I was online. this happens to me ALL the time, sometimes when I'm actually doing something and not on a dance pad. I have already sent in a bug report and got NO responce. I really would like this fixed. Is it really that dificult to do this?

hmm no its not really diffcult, or better normally its not really difficult.

But i think there are much much more important things to fix or to correct.

Normally such a check is really easy, cause the Client always send data and receive Data, so is not much work to implement such a function.

But i dont think its so important, cause you see that youre not connectet when you wanna interact with the World. So its not so much difference, to push a button to see it, or to read it on you monitor. Shure a nice to have but not really important

i have to ask why you are complaining about something that is on your end. first of all when LL logs you out you do get the message. if your power went out while you were "sleeping" then ya that split second will still show you logged in and guess what? your really not logged in. also if your connection went during that time guess what? you got it....you will still be dancing there like your in game when your not.
this is something i have to say LL shouldn't have to respond to seeing as your complaining about something completly on your end.
and the biggest question i have to ask here is.....are you bitching becuase you didn't mooch any linden while you were "sleeping"
hmmm.....i have to say thats pretty damn selfish. if you want to bitch about something, at least be in game and find a problem to bitch about.

actually I was using last night as an example. quite often I'll be playing slingo or trying to make an object on my own property and all of a sudden everything stops working, can't figure it out, no notice about anything, finally close it off and restart. it has happened a few times when I'm at a camp chair but thats not what my main grief is.

It happens a lot when you lose network connection to the sim, either because of the sim crashed (quite common), or you lost internet connectivity to it for longer than a minute or so. You don't get a notice when this happens, but the minimap turns orange-ish.

I just leave the minimap open and watch it for a disconnect.
