I was listening to the Town Hall stream this afternoon and everything was fine... The casino had finally been finished and today was the opening day... I logged off to go out to dinner with my wife and when I log back on, all but 5 machines are gone, random walls and floor tiles missing, stairs gone some single copy casino machines gone... I have almost $1,2oo Dollars (not linden) into this casino and now it's all screwy... Can anyone help me understand what the heck happened?
I've removed everything the is not copyable and put up the red tape so no-one gets in... I don't know what happened and I'm seriously pist, I have real money tied up in this and now it's all F$&KED up... >:-|

Did you, or anyone else with About Land privileges, recently enable autoreturn? If your land is set to a group and autoreturn is enabled, anything that was rezzed and didn't have the correct group set will be autoreturned. Another thing... Linden Lab said they were fixing this, but I don't recall when they said the fix was going in. Anyway if someone executed a self-replicating objects attack on your land, it used to be that once the land exceeded prim limits, LL would actually start returning YOUR objects instead of the new self-replicating ones. If someone caught and fixed the attack while you were away, this might explain your missing prims (although, like I said, I don't recall whether this has been fixed yet). There's also the very mundane possibility that things were still there but not rezzing. You might try clearing your cache in Second Life's network preferences (this requires that you restart second life afterwards). If you still can't see the missing objects, enable the statistics bar in the View menu and see if anything looks off (high number of dropped packets, for example).

If everything was returned to you, do not delete anything, no matter how mundane the object might be. Portions of your casino might be INSIDE other objects.

Thanks for the replies! I checked a few different things before I cleared the land this morning. My cache had been cleared, I checked the prim count on the land, I had two of my friends take a look to see if I wasn't seeing them... it's just really odd. There's nothing in my trash or lost & found and the prim count was down from the original. The land was only accessable by myself, although the checkbox allowing others to create objects was checked, I hadni't thought of the self replicating theory. I'll check thru my trash and see if I can find anything inside other objects. I'm pretty sure they're not there but I'll triple check them again. I really hope this was a glitch and not a person, that's just mean... I'm pretty much over it now, I was pretty pist off the other night. I will probably never see those items again and more than likely not get any help from LL... It's a shitty deal but I've learned the hard way about it. I'll keep copies of everything I possibly can and be weary about purchasing items that aren't allowed to be copied. Thanks for the replies I'll start over and hopefully this won't happen again anytime soon. Cheers,

Do you own the sim or is a land in main land? is it a land in main land...how long did it take you to build your casino?...what i had was: i worked on my house, terraformed it, put out benches, a bridge, furniture, etc...i log out to go sleep and when i come back...half of all this was gone and the land was back to the previous form...so I IMed live help and what i got is...LL could have made a rolback of the sim to a previous hour ...i really dont understand cus then the roleback should have been done right after i logged...but thiswas all the explanation they gave me. I lost a lot of stuffs too...they are just deleted..unexistant...this is what might have happened to you. I hope is not your case

My furniture is gone!

Came home today & furniture is gone! One piece cost $12,000L!
I was considered a substantial RL investment but not now. Why "buy" assets that vanish?
If I am "owner" of assets why can't they be traced?
This sure is changing my mind about future involvement .

This sure is changing my mind about future involvement . Agreed... The longer this goes on the more I think it was a rollback, but what I don't understand is why no warning? If these things happen they should give 24 hours at least (IMO). I've heard about this happening a lot lately and I feel your pain on the RL investments that go into this. I gave up, the Macclaine grid alone has been rolled back twice since all this and it's just now gone down as well... I don't necessarily want to leave SL but I will lay low until the grid is more stable. The way I see it, why make anything that's original if it's just going to be lost without explination. I'm only using copyable objects now, I don't want to have a loss like that ever again
