Sim:
Faded Reality
Sim Crash:
Sat.
Sim Crash
Sun.

On Sunday:
Problem:
Teleport no longer functions.

Solution:
Contact 3 different lindens, was told:
a)contact a liasion
contacted a liason, liason told me to contact a liason or file a bug report.
b) contacted a linde
contacted a linden, was told to contact a liason or live support.
c) contacted a linden
said to contact a liason but linden would file a bug report for me, and contact the grid monkey.

Contacted my conciege, but since its Sun. I didn't expect to hear from him.

When the linden told me to contact live support I LOL as those are JUST other players like me and don't know any more than I do.

When I was told to file a bug report, I had to tell the Linden that when I do so I get an email back telling me that I need to contact my concierge.

um DUH.

Monday:

Conciege was off and on but never came to fix my Teleport. PFFT Nor did he contact me.

filed a bug report and let them know it was now monday for crist sakes.

Tue:

So ya gonna fix my island teleport so ppl can get to my island.

This CS sucks plain and simple I am not making any excuses for this, because it is simply unacceptable.

#1 DO NOT PASS THE BUCK
#2 DO NOT TELL ME TO CONTACT A PLAYER GROUP FOR A TECH PROBLEM
#3 WHEN PPL PAY FOR AN ISLAND THEY EXPECT BETTER CS THAN THIS.

Hrm... just double-checked the Concierge email. Didn't see anything from you in there, Martin.

Unfortunately, not all Lindens are created equal. Lindens hold many jobs, from development, to testing, to art, to marketing, to support. Were you to message a Linden at random, it's very likely that they know nothing of telehubs other than their purpose, and it's even more likely that they don't have access to the tools required to repair or reset a telehub.

Many Lindens will direct you to a Liaison, as Liaisons are specialized support folks who either know the answer, or know what direction to point you in. Some Lindens may direct you to Live Help simply because the Liaisons on duty are on that channel. (The ever-growing world does mean that we get new Liaisons frequently, meaning a Linden who doesn't interact with Liaisons much may have trouble identifying the on-duty Liaisons from Find menu.)

There's not much spirit for buck-passing here. I know I have to drag myself away from the keyboard, even if it's vital that I be somewhere, because I hate to leave residents with unresolved problems I can fix (and there's always someone else who needs help). On the other hand, however, support is what I do...

There's tremendous visibility among the Lindens, and that's something we intend to keep, but we don't have good information inworld to locate the RIGHT Linden for your request. (Imagine dialing a random person in, say, EA's entire phone directory to help you troubleshoot your Madden game!) There's certainly more we can do to make Liaisons stand out.

At any rate, I got your IM from Monday night; I just need to know where you'd like the hub placed. (Incidentally, telehubs are a feature I'd like to see in the Estate menu in the future... I've already submitted a feature request.)

Thanks Lee, I would like the telehub in the center of the island, Claire Glitterbuck is my partner and she can help you with anything that has anything to do with my island. I think your suggestion for the telehub options in the estate tools is a defiant must!

As for EA that is a dirty word shame on you giggle :D

Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for fixing this I do appreciate that. I was realy fustrated after loosing dwell for two days. Its hard enough running this community project without any support its even worse knowing that everyday we are without dwell is another day we may not get the development bonus to help this project expand.

Mar and Clair

PS I'm on vacation for the next 12 days, please do contact Clair she owns the ajoining sim Island to the south also.
