Hi, I own land and hold my home in Ess 72,64...I've been trying to teleport home for days. I can teleport anywhere else in the game but I can't teleport home..when I try I get this teleport message telling it's locked and to try again later.
When I try to fly home the map shows i'm travelling across sims but as soon as I sit down I'm bounced back to where I started...if I walk it eventually lags out until I give up. HELP

The combination of issues sounds like you might be having firewall problems. Try this link: http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechConfigFirewall

Thank you for that suggestion, but I don't have a firewall configured on the machine for Second Life. (yes I'm sad) But I have a machine that is specifically used for Second Life and another game, and it's the only one I don't have firewalled because it is a gaming machine and only on and used at that time.

You might want to try logging in at home. On the login screen, go to preferences. There's an option to log in at "home" or "last location". Set to home and try that.

This would be the kind of issue to report directly to Linden Labs. Give them a phone call at their toll-free number. They're pretty active in helping resolve such issues.

Siobhan and Wayfinder thank you!
You know when I was getting frustrated I kept having this nagging feeling that I was forgetting a setting that might help...Sio your suggestion was what I was forgetting. Thanks so much everyone, I'll try it as soon as I get home. Shhhh no playing at work, so I have to live vicariously through the forums.

Ok as Siobhan suggested, I set "home" at log in. I crashed 4 times before it finally took me home. And now it won't let me teleport anywhere else so I guess I better enjoy my building time at home.
