1.6.2 Issue - Dropping Session

Since I moved to 1.6.2, I cannot stay connected more than 5 minutes at a time UNLESS I do nothing but chat. Any attempt to:
- Open inventory
- Open IM
- Open Find
- Open and object to edit
- Create a new object
results in immediate disconnect.
Also noticed is the disconnect will sometimes happen 'on its own' within 30 seconds of getting into the world.
No firewall. No antivirus. Direct connection via router to the internet (not shared).
Intel P4 3.0
1 gb ram
GeForce 5200
SB Audigy
I need help. This is beyond frustrating. I cannot stay connected long enough to do anything.

Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd report that everything was fine for me last night but tonight.. I too am having the major packet loss issue etc. Nothing on my machine has changed and it is a 2 week old machine with the latest and greatest. Should not be having these issues.
I am experiencing about 20% packet loss on average, cannot move, things rez very very slowly etc. So,.... it is my opinion that SOMETHING has occured in the night.
Not sure what is going on but... is very very very frustrating none-the-less.
Hopefully someone at LL's will address these issues soon!

It seems to be sim-specific for me.
I tried crossing Disl a few minutes ago three separate times, and all three times I wound up freezing and disconnecting within seconds of entering the region.
I had no scripts, no particles. And I tried waiting on the second attempt to make sure everything in sight had rezzed...no change.
There are at least two other sims on the Grid which are instant death for me, but I can't remember their names.

Happening again after 1.6.9.... I return to these threads to bump them for background purposes as well as to see if anyone at LL every actually replied. Sadly, they have not. If I miss out on the logfest due to this I am going to be seriously pissed off.
