Can you tell us what type of crashes your computer is suffering from? Frontal collision with another computer at an intersection? T-Boned due to red-light runnage? Stop dead in the road and rear-ended?

;)

Crash

My computer screen makes a snap noise and the fan in my computer goes on, the screen turns black and the computer restarts.
I tried changing settings.
Is my comuter just a piece of junk or is my graphics card inadequate?

Wow, that sounds like a hardware problem. I've only seen that when one of two things occur, especially if it's immediate to when you start something like SL. First, your video adapter may be toast. When something hits the higher functions of it, it causes it to hard reboot the system, however that same thing can occur if the CPU has been heat damaged. You may have to have a local expert check out the hardware for you, as software itself would only be an indirect cause of your computer reacting with a "snapping" noise followed by fans engaging then a hard restart. Your system overall though should be able to run SL.... maybe not great, but it should.

If you feel adventurous, open your system up, make sure all fans and stuff are running, etc at all times.
