Why is when there is a update / many other problems come along with the new updates/ I thought when you update you fix things not break 50 more things..

Known Issues in SL since last update:

LAG EVERYWHERE

SOUND DOESN'T COME IN ALL THE TIME

REZZING OBJECTS THEN THEY DISAPPEAR AND LINDENS CAN'T FIND THEM EITHER

TELEPORT ISSUES / WHEN YOU TP ANYWHERE IT LOGS YOU OUT

GETTING LOGGED OUT OR CRASHED BECAUSE OF TO MUCH LAG GOING ON

WATER DOESN'T LOOK LIKE WATER NO MORE LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING ON A WEBPAGE

SKY, MOON, SUN, IS ALSO DIFFERENT / WHAT HAPPEN TO THE SPARPLY STARS ?
THEY ARE GONE PPL

Then Lindens say there will be voice chat now in game well guess what folks that will bring more lag in SL then ever before trust me on this known fact ...
Oh but you can buy the best headset for as lil as 99.99 oops i mean 89,99 USD$ wow do we get lindens dollars if we buy the headset from the company ? laughs

SL isn't getting better in my book it is getting worst and the worst is yet to come with voice chat / grant my words / SL will be pulling out voice chat as soon as the complaints start to pour in and phone calls won't stop ...

Okay Lindens you going to fix these problems today or wait a few months till there isn't no one left in SL to move around or wait till ppl start to leave sl for good

Hi ButteryflyWings, I'm really sorry to hear you've been down on your luck lately.

Things will get better soon for all of us!

Have you seen the new things coming to SL soon? You were concerned about the changes to the sky and stuff. Check this out. Try out the First Look Viewer when you have a chance, if you can. It's uberiffic!

If you are having problems teleporting and being logged out, I think I read somewhere else here in this forum that it's a router/networking issue, may wanna search it out.

Voice does not operate on the same networks, nor is it housed within or on Linden Lab servers, thusly it will have no effect on their end of the ball game. How your local macine handles it, and network & bandwidth availability can handle it may certainly be a factor.

Rhyph Somme / my mom came in game on my computer and had no problem teleporting to my business / I sign in and can't tp anywhere / So I know it isn't my connection like Linden Labs keep telling me this is getting to be F****ing bullshit anymore / If it was my computer or connection then my own mother wouldn't have been able to do the same damn things I have been trying to do for 3 days now .... Lindens need to get off the donuts and coffee and start to address these issues quickly cause I'm ready to just f***ing leave and go where there no problems LIKE SIMS ONLINE / ACTIVE WORLDS / OR MOOVE ...
I don't pay almost 200.00USD every month for what problems BULLSHIT

then I can be not doing anything and being tp somewhere and don't even know who is tping me somewhere when i was afk .. THAT IS LINDENS LABS BULLSHIT THEY CAN TP ANYONE ANYWHERE THEY WANT .. You have no reason to get hostile towards me.

Doing so will not reward you with much help from anyone, we are just trying to help, whether it be in keeping people spirits or hopes up, or with specific technical issues.

Now, there is a very good possibility the problem is specifically with your account, but it will be local on your machine. In order to help you we need specifics not CAPS ON/caps off ranting and cursing since that is where I stopped reading your post. That is not what the forum is for.

You have given us very little to work with. You say your mother can use your PC, with her account and she has no problems. This could actually be caused by your computer having stored corrupted account/profile information for second life in your settings folder. Can you explain what steps you have taken to ensure this is not the case?

Try clearing the cache if you did not do that yet. This at times helps a lot.

Better yet…uninstall and reinstall SecondLife entirely. Also try the First Look viewer, not just to try out the new sky feature but to see if you experience the same issues you’ve been having with the regular viewer.

Yup, clear all of second life off your computer and try again.

Also, is your mother using SL same time as you, i'm wondering whether you tend to use SL more during peak hours and she uses it when there's less load.

As far as I'm aware the way the voice system will work will be independant of everything else, so won't contributed to lag. So no, that is not a 'known fact'

Teleporting is more reliable than ever for me, in fact I haven't had a single failed teleport since 1.16.

What I don't like is the extra delay now between making an avatar movement with cursor keys and actually having it respond on screen, but ah well.

The most annoying bug at the moment is one related to group im's, when leaving it but it keeps re-opening by itself even though I've already left the conversation. I don't know whether thats been fixed in the optionial .06 viewer, i'm still on the initial 1.16 release (prefer only to update when its compulsory)

Water seems fine to me.

Regarding the sky, new atmospherics are on the way which will look way better

Also try using a different port number and make sure any software AND hardware firewalls have this port number fully open for using second life. That can make quite a difference.
