People have claimed a lot over the last couple of months about how long it takes Paypal transfers to go through. Generally from what I can tell it's going beyond 5 weeks or more for transfers. There's some accusations that LL is sitting on the money to earn more interest and that's why there's delays. It does appear that something is out of whack with their process of paypal transfers, but if it's because of unethical behavior I'm not sure.

Hmm i have never ever waited that long.. only 5 days at the most.. wonder why you guys have problems.. is your pay pal account a verfied pay pal account?.. this is done via PayPal.. nothing to do with SL. All my dealings with LL have been speedy. I would look at pay pal first before LL. Paypal will send a notification that payment was recieved..

I have no experience with SL and money, but to me this would be business as usual with paypal. This may not be SLs fault at all.

Used them for non-SL purposes for years. They always, 100% of the time, took at least 4 business days and sometimes more than a week to get any money from them.

If it meant <them> getting paid, it was always immediate. But getting money to me was always like pulling teeth. And if it was anything that looked like it had a 0.00001% chance of being risky, they would drag their feet to the limit they could get away with.

So maybe it's not SL you should be complaining to, but paypal. They may have decided that SL transfers are "at risk", so they are using thier usual delaying tactics.

Just a thought. I could be totally wrong, but it's what my experiences tell me.

<wild speculation>
I wonder if this has anything to do with Paypal getting smacked down for providing a transaciton vehicle for offshore gambling operations. That was a few years ago, and I believe they were ordered by the courts to be more careful, in one way or another.
I can go look up the ruling but i'm not sure where to find it.

Anyway there was that recent US law passed regarding more specific regulation (or banning) of online casinos that I saw up for discussion a couple months ago in these forums.. I wonder if its related. Just a thought.
