Teleport Issues

Since this patch first got released a couple weeks ago, I have not been able to teleport freely. Before the patch I found out I needed to have my apartment open some port, and they did and everything was fine. Then the patch came out, and it was back to not being able to teleport. What happens is it sits at Sending To Destination for a little while, then sends me to some weird version of the region I happen to be in and disconnects me. For the past few weeks I have been logging out, setting my teleport region, and then teleporting to the place. And with the last 24 hours where logging in takes 5 minutes to do, it's become incredibly annoying. I'm on a paid account, I've used the Help Request feature a ton of times, e-mailed Linden twice in 24 hours, and seem to be getting absolutely nowhere. I'm about to call apartment manager again to triple check that the ports are opened, but this is becoming too much work.

Any help and advice is very much appreciated.

Check the PORT number. There was a change a couple of versions ago.
Use the Correct Port and make sure its open for both UDP and TCP.
AND that the NAT map will send ARRIVING requests to use these ports to your machine. (in other words, make sure that its 2-way, not just outgoing data on the port)

I have an apartment manager who needs to open all the ports. According to them, they did.

Not sure what else to say...the official answer is:
Question:
How do I configure my hardware firewall (such as a router)?
Answer:
Hardware firewalls need to allow access on certain network ports. Second Life needs to connect to ports 443/TCP, 12035/UDP, 12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP. You should configure your firewall to allow outbound traffic on those ports, and related inbound traffic. You'll need to consult your firewall's documentation, or the manufacturer's website, for instructions on how to make these changes to your firewall. As of Version 1.13.2, released Jan. 10th, 2007, you may need to enable UDP/TCP in order to access Second Life.

What OS do you use? And if you haven't, read this:

That's exactly the thing I printed out and had them fax to the corporate office, who apparently does all the openings. I will keep my eye on those other threads.

I use Windows. I have no firewalls on.

Okay. I'm not a windows user, so I'm not sure how to help.
There are web based Port testers that you might try...

www.grc.com
www.auditmypc.com

both seem to be popular/reputable. check them to see if they see your ports as being open.
