Hello I have read several posts on this topic but have just not seen information as to what may actually be causing the issue. Or some client side corrections or configureations that may help resolve it. We are running dual cable modems here each 6Mb ultra high speed. I'm still working on a way to load ballance them but as I said still working on that :). Anyway my wife and I share one modem and we still get large packet loss at times. We Live in Canada a small town of 1100 ppl and Rogers installed two hubs here each capable of supporting 2500 connections total over kill. So seeing as we have a gigabyte lan and a 6Mb modem and both our systems are AMD A64 3000+'s with 1.5 Gb of Ram and the Nvidia Fx 5950 with 256 Mb and the Sound Blaster Audigy ZS for sound, the CPU load really should not be excessive. Oh and we are running SATA Drives raptors for the main ones

Any thought or suggestions?

Hello Rraven, I've moved your post to Technical Issues--it's the correct forum. Please read more about what SL Answers is for here.

I'd certainly do a packet loss test if you haven't already:
Also, you say it's "high"... after a typical session of SL, you can go to HELP menu ---> ABOUT window and see a cumulative readout there of what the average packet loss is.

How're your ping times too?

You can also contact our helpful Lindens @ support for more advice.
