Now last night, I was at Home Depoz looking at textures, and thinking, GEEZ, these are being easy to look at, so I checked my FPS
and it was
racing around in the 50's!

How come?
(And how can I get it to do that some more?)

I been hobbling along here for a year now on a three-year-old computer with 256 memory. Getting 20-something FPS is real nice for me. In a crowded area, like with a club, I creep along at 2-5.

Since 1.8.2 (I think) my FPS has been way higher than usual.
I saw Vektor in the Welcome Area straight after and he said he was checking frame rates and had seen an improvement, don't quote me on it though ![]() _____________________

If you have been standing in the same area for a while and you see your bandwidth settle to around 0 (means everything in your view has loaded) and your view is toward a void even though there are objects between you and the void you can see some great frame rates because there isn't that much to render relatively speaking. I have been seeing slightly better framerates overall since the last update but not more than a frame or two per second. With the LOD slider though I can see much better fps in a crowded area.
