whats up with llsettextureanim changing the number of horizontal and vertical repeats of a texture and NOT LETTING YOU CHANGE IT BACK?! !!@#$%^&*

If you're using animation of type 'SMOOTH', you can set the x-frames and y-frames values to 0, and it will then apparently maintain your texture repeat settings. However, for frame-by-frame animations, as far as I know, it is indeed bugged.

I haven't checked this, but have you tried llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON ... // other stuff llSetTextureAnim(0, ... ); // stop animation llScaleTexture(h, v, sides);
or was that not what you were trying to do?
