Can anyone figure this out

Suddenly what acts like a particle script manifested on my viewer. It is red, blue and sometimes green cones that seem to be related to any type of collision event. Landing, walking, rotation scripts, etc. They come floating up in a constant stream. In the case of an avatar landing one will come up from around the ankles. This only happens on my desktop. It does not happen on my laptop. But it does follow me throughout SL. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the viewer, etc. On Sunday I have to make a video of an event on the sim and am running out of time.

You somehow enabled viewing object updates. There's a 4-key combo to turn it on and off but am not sure I remember it right - ctrl-alt-shift-U maybe.. It's also under the Client menu. Press ctrl-alt-D to enable the Client menu if it's not there.

Blue means that the object sent a position/rotation update, red means that the object sent a full update (all of it's info) and green means that the object was deleted. It's a useful tool when scripting or trying to figure out things that might be causing lag..

edit: also, friendly suggestion, having a descriptive thread name rather than "Can anyone figure this out" will usually get you faster results.

Meade: Thank you so much. I must have done that somehow bouncing around in the client. I don't think one could stumble upon those keystrokes. After this event on the 11th I'm going to spend 2 hours a day on these forums. What a wealth of information they are. Please come and visit on Sunday at 3:30 SL for the after event party.
