Logging in... or not.

Hi guys!

Since the optional update the other day, i've been having such sucky issues:

a) I can't tp without having to relog afterwards
b) usually it takes up to about 4 attempts to relog to actually be able to move and log in without sims around me going red
c) I repeatedly get the login packet not recieved error msg at the region handshake point

Now, I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling a bunch of times, my net works fine for websites and messengers/skype etc, it's purely SL that it's buggering up on.

Any ideas/tips/some form of alchohol would be severely appreciated

You gotta be careful with that stuff... it can seriously affect your vision... makes SL seem all rose-tinted and stuff.

Willow hun, have a look at your network settings in Preferences. After the update, it reset itself to 500 for me and several others... and that might be part of your problem too. Anyway, maybe they'll fix it in Wednesday's update (hey... that looks like a pig up there performing loops in the sky), so just try to be patient.

And while this may seen strange, what version/make of video drivers are you using? They changed some of the video system, and it is causing some strange errors..

I'm on an IBM laptop with ummmm... Graphics Card: MOBILITY FireGL V3200 Pentium 4 (SSE2) fully updated.

I know SL doesn't support FireGL, but i've never had any issues before.

I'm managing to stay on now, on and off but its dropping every so often, i'm actually thinking now it's my connection, even thought my net and messengers are still A OK
