This just recently has happened to me, and well, is starting to make me fume a little. This is the pop-up message I get after I hit enter to log in : 'Login Failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer. If you feel this is an error, please contact support@secondlife.com'. Well, I have contacted Second Life support and no one has responded. So if any linden reads this, please, I am begging of you to help me. I have many places I watch over and many things I am involved in. All I ask is for some help please. Just give me the clue as to why this is happening. I do know for a fact that my computer can handle SL and that all my dues are paid. I just need to know, why all of a sudden this.

Havn't left my property since at least a few weeks ago. I was able to log in after the update did some work loged out for a few seconds then started receiving the message. It's not a ban but I don't know what it is, I checked my email that is tied to my account and there is no message from LL about a ban. I assume it must be something to do with Hardware specs on my computer. I would just like a more detailed answer from LL then just, :You can not acces Second Life from this computer".

I would be interested to hear if anyone has heard of, or is having trouble with this other then the three of us who posted here. I have been in SL for almost 3 years now. I don't see why a problem like this would crop up out of nowhere.

Total bummer! We've recently done a bit of fixing (and, apparently, breaking) and upgrading to a few of our security features, which may have resulted in some erroneous blocks. A cleared a few I found last night (that'd be those of you who had a problem, then didn't), but I'm sure there are few more out there.
If they happens to you, and assuming that you're not supposed to be blacklisted from Second Life, give us a ring on the 800 number and we'll clear it up straight away! |
