I'm having some new bugs or problems in build and edit since update. Wondering if anyone else has noticed and especially if you've figured any way around them.
1. Items created will suddenly become "phantom" intermittently. This is odd..today one section of a floor I created became phantom and avatar fell right through it. Had to delete the section and make new one. Also, newly created items would be phantom one minute, not phantom the next. Occasionally when clicking on something, for instance to sit on it, the entire item would briefly disappear. They change back and forth from phantom to not, without any deliberate change being made by me in edit.
2. Animated textures. Having problem with animated water textures. The pattern changes for instance, I set texture at 4x4 so water would move slowly. Each time I log in, it has reverted to 1x1 and fast moving. Locking the object temporarily slows it back down, sometimes, other times this doesn't work.
3. If I attempt to reset a texture to "Blank", the game crashes.
4. Attempting to build and the item becomes strangely ghosted. There is no change in appearance, but moving pointer over it shows only the land beneath, not the object.
5. Another "phantom" issue...I copied a couple items that were not phantom. However the new copies were phantom.
Is all of this version related or is there something I can be doing different or ways around it?

Jack, I am still having some of the same issues even after the patch to fix the blank texture error.
The whole new building camera view thingy is wonked.
Its also very aggrivating to work on extreme small stuff as well.
LL...HELP???

When I unlink things entire builds go completely invisible and then re-appear many seconds later. First time it happened I thought I'd deleted it and rezzed another one !

yes. me too.
to everything mentioned in the thread.
most since 1.6. the disappearing linked objects is just weird, and happens to me pretty much all the time now. The phantom thing occasionally.
but the animated texture resizing thing has ALWAYS happened to me since I joined in 2003!
I have another one, too. If I drag-copy linked objects, very often the textures I've painstakingly measured up, sized, offsetted, flipped, mirrored and rotated to fit all go back to standard 1x1, and default their rotation, flip, mirror etc. Even better, some don't do it when you drag copy.... but only show evidence of it when you go to edit a linked piece afterwards. So I build 4 walls by copying 1, link it all up, go to edit and... the whole build textures change before my eyes. permanently.
Oh. and any recoloring of linked sets? After I deselect, I can watch up to half the pieces randomly unset themselves back to the previous color one by one. fun.

Yah that is another build problem I've just noticed today. The shift-copy results in objects copying, but not lining up, they will be pretty significantly off to one side, which kind of defeats the whole purpose.
