*waves* hello

Sadly, I continue to have technical problems that prevent me from playing SL .
I downloaded the new bug fix patch and if possible my problems were worse.

I have an abundance of "artifacts" or images/textures that flash overlapping the
screen the frequence of these artifacts flashing is about every 3-5 seconds. sometimes
its one block, sometimes its several changing my angle view in game i see increase and decrease in quantity. Which brings me to second technical symptom, rotating my view causes me to freeze up, i stay that way approx, 30 seconds or so and it pops back to useable view.. I can usually get about 3-4 of these freeze ups in before my screen goes
black and im forced to reboot at the tower to exit SL and regain use of my pc.

I have a older video graphics card and realize i may have to dig down in rl funds to
aquire a new one. Currently i have a GeForce 2 MX 400, its been updated and drivers were updated, I have uninstalled and reinstalled SL itself with no effect on the symptoms.

I posted this prior and got advice to turn pc off for 5 minutes.. which having tried it , found it was of no effect . If there is a player or a Linden out there who can offer any help at all
or the name of a good yet affordable withdrawl therapist it would be tremendously appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time and any help you can give.

Rosa,

Have you tried telling SL you have less video ram? Maybe the graphics card can't keep up withe the texture updates. If you tell SL you have less video ram, that might put less stress on the video card.

(In preferences under graphics).

Also, when starting a forum thread, you will get better responses if you put something about your problem, like "graphics problem" or something like that as the subject line rather than just "need help". That way people who fancy themselves experts in that subject area will look at the thread, while they might not even notice "need help".
