I have tried to put pictures of my items in a post for everyone to see. I uploaded by using
the "manage attachments". But, that is as far as I get. Can someone tell me the next step to go from there?

Thanks for any help, in advance :)

*GASP* It can't be done!!

Actually, I have my pics hosted on my website, so I just click the image button and point it to the image's URL. I have tried uploading Images to SLs server then trying to use THAT url for the image, but I haven't gotten it to work.

the attachments thing just uploads and puts a link at the bottom of the post. what Aimee said is for if you want the actual pic to show up in the actual post.

There's a great site out there for hosting images that you want to embed in forum posts: TinyPic. You can quickly upload any image up to 250KB in size, and it spits back a small URL that you can use in your post as part of an IMG tag.

For example, I've uploaded my forum avatar, and TinyPic returns the URL http://tinypic.com/1tptut. You can put this into an embedded image with the following markup in your post:

[ img ]http://tinypic.com/1tptut[ /img ]

Remove the spaces within the brackets; they're only in there to prevent my example from displaying an image. That would look like this in the post:

Works great for product shots, event screen grabs, or what-have-you.
