Hi! I am currently running WinXP (i know i know;)) with 512 ram and a 128 ram Nvidia GeForce4 TI 4200 video card. SecondLife keeps crashing during the login sequence. About the time when the bar is half way loaded, SL crashes. I have included a screenshot if that helps. Any ideas? I have done everything I could think of; such as: upgrading drivers, reinstall SL, and even the OS (I have a backup drive :D ) Thanks for your help in advance! Also if and when i get SL running IM me in world. Anyone have a super dummies guide to getting SL on Fedora 2? Thanks!

Matt -

I queried our crash report records to see if I could find a clue as to why you were crashing but I couldn't find any reports submitted under the name "Matt Thetan". Do you enable the automatic crash report system? It can be enabled prior to "Connect" by editing your "Preferences"... in the "General" panel, second checkbox up from the bottom titled "Automatically Report Crashes".

If you check that box then SL should send some information our way that may provide us some information about what is going wrong. If the crash report isn't sent immediately after the crash it may try to send it the next time you start SL. Generate at least three crash reports then post back to these forums and I'll query the records again to see what I can find. Thanks.

On a related note, should I continue sending crash reports after, allegedly, ATI lockups? I fugure that unless the report automatically triggers after a crash, there isn't much to gain from them once I've had to reboot the computer first. So, I only send them about half the time now... when I'm not in a real hurry to get online again.
