Calling any and all PHP gurus... I'm trying to set up a wiki for the Friends of the Forest group because the Lindens are taking an awfull long time to set up a group forum for us. The software involved is <a href="http://www.pmwiki.org">PmWiki</a> running in my webspace in a remote Linux box that has PHP4.0 on it(no root access but I'm good friends with the sysadmin if I need a superuser to do something). No SQL database required, so it says. The page in question can be found at http://members.limitless.org/~heartwood/fotfThe problem is, whenever I click on a link in order to do something, the browser will try to load it, then apparently "finish", but nothing has changed: it won't disply anything but the default welcome page. I can provide a copy of the .php source if someone asks for it (it's GPLed). Any idea what might be going wrong?

Check the FAQ, do a web trawl. Its highly unlikely you actually need to know PHP to correct problems like this: you're not the first person with the problem most likely, so there will be procedural documentation somewhere on how to correct it.

I've been looking at the Wiki documentation without much sucess, haven't found a faq so to speak, still need to try the user mailing-list archives.

Are you really using PHP 4.0? That release is from 1999 I think, full of bugs and exploits too. Upgrade to PHP5 already

It's not under my controll, but I talked to the sysadmin who said that the boxes are in the process of being upgraded, which includes PHP 5. The group they're run under is nonprofit and he's the only sysadmin, so upgrades and such only happen when he has time: even then, the box that holds people's web accounts (given out for free to people who have worked on their games and such) isn't nesicarily the highest priority.
