SL crashes upon startup using Vista - one fix

I know this thread may have been out here before, but I don't remember seeing a solution for crashing upon start-up when using Vista.

Here is fix that has worked for me:
When installing SL version xxx the default is to install it on C:/Program Files/SecondLife.
Instead of using the default install location, install SL in C:/SecondLife, for some reason this works for my Vista system and now will run SL. Hope this helps.

I accepted the default intstallation location for SL both when I helped a good friend and on my personal computer............SL runs wonderfully on both. And both are Vista machines. One Acer , on Lonovo.

Whatever works though is good. I really have a hard time believing the change would make any difference though. Maybe a few nanoseconds loading time when SL is launched but once past that I would would think there is no different at all.
