The past month or so has seen SL plagued with a variety of technical glitches, problems, gremlins and outright faults, and I think I've finally realized what the -real- reason is for this. It's not incompetence, lack of knowledge, insufficient resources, or lack of interest on the part of Linden Labs.
The warranties on the zillions of computers that LL uses to sustain Second Life are running out. In a wave-like ripple, these computers are failing and taking SL with them. The answer -may- be to purchase extended warranty contracts for them--I am pretty sure that Best Buy (where LL gets their computers) provides this option, and really, it's cheaper than having to replace the affected machines.

Are you sure thats the culprit? I had thought that the Grid being run by commodore 64's was at the front of all our issues. Or did they upgrade to the Commodore 128?

well um
they dont buy them at best buy unlike most computers that interact with SL, so when one tosses a fan it doesnt cost them 800$ for a dell model 1234 mainboard expansioncard cpu heatsync assembly
and commodore 64's are pretty ez to maintain and rebiuld this day and age
sooooo
not to burst your sarcasm bubble but afer you have been tru this 1000001 times its just not funny anymore
whats happening, like what always happens, they dont fix any bugs and redesign the inventory window add a couple craptasic features and tell us to be happy cause theres noone else
oh one day LL one day
