I am hoping that someone has a same problem as me...

I recently got installed with Netgear modem - it is wireless modem installed on my main computer PC that I wanted to use in conjunction with SKYPE on my MAC book pro.
I do not use SL on wireless connection as I heard that this does not work so well, my PC is connected to wireless model with the cable and then with internet cable to my computer.

Since then I've been having issues logging in first attempt as per my usual. I get 'Ruth' self or no self and gray hills or empty sim. I can not move, inventory is empty and nothing is working.

I try logging in again and it works - after 100th time if I am lucky.

I have tested for speed, all good. I have contacted LL - no region, no scripts, no internet connection issue apparently. I have contacted Netgear they changed port and now my Mac loses connection when I try to log into SL!? They told me to try forums - so here I am.

I have no idea what to do but going back to my previous cable connection and trying to get router for number of computers. This will cost me $90 to change where I just paid $165 to get this damn thing installed. What should I do?

I have had problems losing connection often, normally when SL has many people online. My connection and hardware is good apart from that.

try a tracert to see what route you use to get to the SL login server.

I saw that my connection has a server in between that has a lot of package loss, and for the last 6 hours has not responded at all.

I am in the Netherlands. A friend, also in the Netherlands, has a totally different routing, and meets no problematic hosts

Oh, and be careful if you log in and tp, both my avatars can't log in anymore for 3 days now. When you try logging in while you cannot reach the login server you may get this problem, and I tp-ing does something similar I think.

Login server: data.agni.lindenlab.com
good free tool for tracert:
