How do I buy a land, and where do I see how much $$ I have?

You see how much money you have by looking in the upper right hand corner of your SL screen. Probably a zero there unless you went premium. If you need to buy Lindens then log into http://www.secondlife.com. To teh leftthere is a blue colum with hotlinks. Go to the COMMERCE area and click on BUY $L. Land is about $11L a meter so get as much as you need to buy as many meters as you want.

On your SL screen goto the bottom and click SEARCH, then click LAND SALES and check out the properties. ALSO look at the Property Sales and Land sales threads for some hot properties (you decide if you want Linden land or rental privately owned leased land - with leased land you donthave to be a premium member to rent the land).

Some properties you can rightclick the ground and buy it - others you will have to pay a lease sign. Good luck and have fun.
