I have this bug, I've posted a long time back before, but no response or help. When I am around a seemingly moderate amount of prims, even worse when lots, the prims sort of explode, into long protruding spikes and blocks. Sometimes it stops for a while, but picks up again, especialy if someone has an AV with lots of tortured prims, like a dragon AV. I've had this promblem for the past half year so far, and it's still driving me insane. I've changed preferences to low, to high, nothing works.
Anyone got any insight on this bug of mine?

wich vid card?, if ATI, go get drivercleaner uninstall drivers, install Omegadrivers Also try> Preference / graphic detail / avatar vertex program off and not sure about this one tho> change Avatar Rendering to Normal If neither work i suggest trying memtest86 , if you get any errors on that test it will make spikey things in SL, everything will still run just fine tho till you run heavy things like SL.
Gotten spikey bugs twice in SL. (actually 3 but last dont really count) 1.One was ram fault 2. was vid card dying (radeon9800pro) 3. Codec in mediaplayer , playing same time with SL produced some very ugly spikes (doesnt happen anymore since i changed back to nvidia/formatted) changed it and went away.
