Second Life won't let me select 128mb video memory, when my card has that much, it limits me to 64, and I believe that is part of wy my lag is so bad.

Any Ideas on how to fix this, or does anyone at least know where the video settings are stored for the game, and I can futz with the config file out of game.

Is your graphics card using hypermemory?
In this case your graphics card has only 64mb, but may allocate supplementary 64mb (from your system RAM) by using hypermemory.

The local and system memory areas are not noticeably separate to the user and often HyperMemory solutions are advertised as having as much as 512 MB RAM when this is actually referring to the potential use of system RAM.

It may also be limiting you because of the amount of RAM you have. SL actually uses the video card memory setting when calculating how much CPU memory to allocate for things like textures, and it may be you don't have enough RAM for it to use more than 64M efficiently.

I figured it out, maybe, at least now it's using 128mb. I was overclocking my video card, and when I put the clock rates back to normal, it started registering the full 128.
