this morning when i logged in and off there was no problem, now i get a messege saying : Unable to connect to secondlife. Despice our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong. Then pls check status and forum. When i check the website i cant get account information but i can see my friends online (blah) also nothing special in the forum announcements. I reinstalled sl but still nada ............................. let me innnnnnnnnnnn

same here... hopefully someone answers.
I have cleared the cache, uninstalled, have absolutely NO firewall running and reinstalled with no luck.
Surely, there must be other solutions.

firewall/virusprog/ect prob blocked it when update changed .exe, checked that? Remove the secondlife.exe from their safe list and let it detect it again and ask you to allow in/out going packets

Is there anything else you could offer as a possible solution? My firewall and antivirus are turned off completely and still no success

Only to check this page i guess, http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechConfigFirewallrouters, firewalls, spyware/trojan blockers,ect info. Seems more and more getting this wonder why, isps might be having issues , dunno, im usually further away then most that connect to SL havnt seen that error for a long time. (norway)

The solution was found.. removing Linden Labs from my registry and then installing.

My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Linden Research, Inc My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Linden Research, Inc\Secondlife\(default) REZ_SZ C:\Program Files\SecondLife Could be path that was wrong , another thing to keep in mind to check for then, uninstall should have killed this off tho meh i trust uninstall as much er... cant think of any, i never use uninstall -.o;
