Just bought and installed a new Radeon 2600XT 512Mb. Installed the latest drivers from the AMD/ATI site. I decided to enable anti-aliasing in Catalyst control centre. When I ran SL, the first thing I noticed was that there was no anti-aliasing, then I noticed that the sun was a large square instead of the normal glowing disk. I have re-disabled anti-aliasing which returns the sun to it's normal shape, but obviously I would like it back on if possible. Anyone else had problems like this?
System as follows:
XP pro SP2 DirectX 9.0c Radeon 2600XT 512Mb AMD 4200 X2 64
Thanks for any help offered.

Rather than force the GC to do anti-aliasing, set it to 'Let the application decide'. Make sure you check the graphic options in Preferences to gain the most use of your GC. Some users have said using the next lower memory setting for your GC (256mb) has helped cure some of the quirks for the new XT GC's. I suspect GC drivers are outpacing the ancient graphics engine used in Havoc 1 in most areas except OpenGL which most don't care about as its seen as old hat compared to the road many software houses are promoting (DirectX).

Thanks for the reply! I take it your suggesting I run without forced AA set in Catalyst? I have never found a setting for AA in the SL prefs, so no AA is what we are talking about. This is a shame as my previous card was quite happy to force AA while using SL and it was only an X800GTS, ancient old thing I had honestly thought that my SL experience would be better with the new card, but maybe not?
