I have been having very simliar dificulties. I can talk and look around, change my appearance and use features such as find; but, I can not teleport, fly, or otherwise move. What is going on? This happens EVERY time I play. It will run well for about an hour or so (sometimes less) and then it will just DIE. The map will go red as well (if this is helpful to solving the problem). I have terrible lag sometimes when it's crowded which angers me because I am on a 100 MB connection.Please help so that I may enjoy my SL!

When you're in a crowded area, do you mean that you're seeing lag, or that your framerate drops? What is your ping normally? What happens to it when your map turns red?

 if the sim go red, you are disconnected, SL wont let you know that till ages after,been there a few times, You know what you pc/mac spec is, cause SL is a hog when it comes to cpu/gpu/ram, a 100mbit line doesnt do jack for SL , i used both 1-2-5-8mbit, and up to 155mbit, its pretty much just the same slowness in SL. I wouldnt go under 128mb vid ram, and 1-2 gig normal ram.  |
