What is so confusing, not to mention frustrating, about these login issues is that all but a couple of my friends are in the game and playing away happily. I just spoke to my in-game partner and they just logged in within seconds of clicking Connect, without any delays at the "Waiting for response", "Contact User Server", and "Contacting Region" message stages.
Why is it that only SOME people are experiencing these issues which are supposedly high-load on teh database servers? If there was a high-load on the database servers, then EVERYONE would be having trouble... or at least some delays in connecting.
I can understand that there is going to be problems like this now and in the future but when it doesn't make sense, like the fact that some people can login without even the slightest delay and others can't even get past the "Waiting for response" message, it becomes infintely frustrating.
