Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the asset server - I'm editing scripts and everytime (ok, 9 out of 10 times) I save it (or try to delete objects), I get the asset server did not respond in timely fashion thing. I've teleported to several locations incase its lag at my place but still getting the errors.
Anyone else getting this problem?

Yes. Shapes in inventory won't save changes and objects I try to attach cannot be found. There are a few other glitches as well. Yay!

Indeedy - I found that scripts are not saving, sometimes they do even though it says it hasn't; sometimes I get two error messages when I only saved it once; objects refuse to delete and are returned to sim (in other words, it doesn't go).
Darn it - always happens on a weekend; at a time I set aside to do lots of changes to scripts; flaming typical!

Yep - a number of errors whilst saving. Followed by the attachment I'd been working on spontaneously vanishing whilst being worn! I'm currently trying the logout, clear cache, login trick to try and get it back but it looks like yesterday's scripting has been lost!
Not happy!

Does anyone know approximately how long the grid will be off line today?

From: Tianti Teebrook Does anyone know approximately how long the grid will be off line today? Well let's see, it's Sunday and the Lindens are much too busy having coffee and doughnuts right now. They couldn't possibly be expected to do any work, could they? And then there's the statement they issued on Thursday saying these problems weren't causing any major problems. I'm quite certain they will simply sit on their hands for an hour or two, and then "test" without any load on the grid, and then of course they will issue yet another "all clear" message on the blog. So my best guesstimate, is 2 hours. Nothing will be fixed of course, but then again it's Second Life, so we're all used to that!

I'm having problems saving scripts the entire morning (GMT+1 morning) failing about the 50% of the atempts to save. Rez seems to work fine, but take/delete fails randomly too.

It's a real mess right now.
I'm in SL right now. I took an object I rezzed, and it hung for ages. Finally, the object vanished. It's not in my inventory though, or in Lost and Found. Glad it only cost me L$199.
Also, I can't wear anything extra. Fortunately, I was clothed when I logged on, but couldn't remove or replace my shirt. A friend of mine - a male av - turned up with a large pair of breasts (and no, he doesn't have a female av).
So you can't wear anything, and you lose your objects.
Presumably this is the asset server again?
Such a minor issue that the official blog doesn't bother mentioning that, only that there are intermittent login issues.
