I have the same sound card and the same problem. All my settings are correct and still no sound. ANY suggestions would be appreciated. I have done everything Live Help has suggested and still no sound.

I did a search and found someone else who had the same problem as you:

From: Murry Soothsayer
Im using an audigy Soundcard.. For some reason right now if I load up SecondLife, all audio on my system ceases. Music and sound in SL produce no audio, winamp or other applications produce no audio..

I go into the creative volume controls and even with all the mute boxes unchecked and the volume up to max I hear nothing. I go into the creative sound mixer and basicaly its wiped clean of settings. If I turn off SL and load up the sound mixer then they all come back. If I export a sound setting and then start up SL and try to import it, I get an unknown error.

[Edit]
Alright, I fixed it. Because this was so annoying I'll leave this for others to read later. Basicaly SL and Creatives Sound Mixer dont play nice together. I had to shut off SL, go into the mixer and set it to "no effect" And then I got my sound back when I started SL. Obviously not a great amount of effort but still I think LL should probably take a look at this. SL shouldnt be like.. killing features of my sound card I dont think.

Please give this a try and post back your results

I used to use creative products, and if they haven't changed their drivers one bit (and I don't imagine they've gotten better over the past few years) you might want to look up kX project.

It's a group creating an alternate set of drivers that are much lighter and more functional, without much bloat.

Soundmixer option didn't work, but after upgrading to Quicktime 7 everything worked. Yay!

Thanks for posting this about Quick Time! Doing the upgrading now and just have to wait for SL to open again so I can try this :)
Hope I will get my sound back. :)
