So, I'm finally getting a new laptop at work and there are two video cards available for my machine:
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X300
256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800
I'm going to try for the NVIDIA (about $100 more), but if they don't buy off on that, I may be stuck with the ATI.
So - the question is: will either of these work? Is one significantly better, beside the obvious memory difference?

There is one person in a recent thread that has the X300 and is getting poor performance in just SL with it. ATI, in general, has problems with SL so I would recommend not using it if your primary reason for upgrade is SL. The Nvidia is the vastly superior video card with the 6800. The X300 is ATI low end for PCIe, the X850 is the high end ( equivelent to the 6800 ultra) so you get an idea of what you are getting.
$100 will make a huge difference in my opinion. I wouldn't hit a hog in the ass with an X300 if I was wanting to play any sort of game on a laptop.

Thanks Kathmandu! Hopefully, they will just let me get that video card - otherwise, I may have to look at another machine.
