I think I have this problem: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=355I put my pc in the DMZ and unblocked port forwarding for ports 1 to 65000 on both TCP and UDP, and while I can log in and get reasonable speeds, as soon as I get to the edge of a sim I end up flying off endlessly, chat stops responding, and my network graph drops to 0. I'm guessing certain traffic can't get out of the network. Problem is that I can't seem to configure outbound traffic on this Comast supplied NetGear modem/router. Any thoughts?

What about using a standard P2P go around? For a lot of the (cough *filesharing* cough) programs have forums that tell you how to work around, or in some cases through, your routers. Just stay out of the illegal areas lol and you'll be golden Worth a shot anyway. Good luck

I'm not sure it's even possible to manage the outbound stuff - Comcast seem to have locked that off in their modification of the router. I'm hoping someone here is a Comcast home networking user and has had the same problem and fixed it

I, too, have the 'Flying off the Edge of the world problem'. I have DSL. When in flight, I pause at the SIM boundaries...wait a moment for the Red IP Traffic signal in the upper right corner to go Green, then proceed to the next SIM.
This problem became noticably worse about a month ago...hasn't let up since. Annoying. But 'Stop, Look, and Listen' at each SIM Crossing is faster than quitting and restarting.

Solved the problem tho? It looks like I will be bound to one place.. which I don't mind too much.. but still.. a touch annoying.
