Hi  ) For some reason SL is not picking up my internet connection, I just get the big green screen with the second life logo, and when I click connect it tells me to check my network is connected (which it is!). I have uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled, to no avail.... Please help! TIA Aemilia |

Assuming your connection to the internet was good.... check in Preferences (assuming you get that button appear on the loading client) that you haven't set a proxy connection or any ports. You will find this in the Network tab.

Can't connect either

I was able to login earlier today, but my avie froze at approx 10:15AM SLTime.
Trying to login again has had no effect for the last 1/2 hour now. There are no error messages-just the progress bar not moving and the login message saying SL may appear frozen. Yeah it does appear that way for a long long time.
Maybe SLTime has changed from PST? I noticed that the forum listed the time as 6:41PM?
Update-OK-now I get this annoying message:
"Login failed
The system is logging you out right now. your account will not be available until 2007 04-05-11:45:10 Pacific Time"
Please tell me what causes this message-TIA

I just tried again but it just logs me out now with a similar message to the one I updated my previous post with. I only have a small window of time to use SL each day and it's bye-bye for this week. C Ya!

aww  i know its frustrateing big time .... im on east coast in pa an sl hubbie is in ohio an we know others cant get in also in fla too im still waiting for that hand shake will some one yank me in plz ? lol |

Well it is now going on a hour since I got booted and can't get in. LL must have shut the whole east coast of the US down. I really think (Little Johhnies Littler Brother) lil Jimmy pulled a plug that he wasnt suppose to touch. Oh wait that is right Hey engineers Red connects to Red and Blue to Blue. I am tired of this crashing and you go to live help and u go to Live help and same old same old. Clean Cache, Reboot. I have filed 24 bug reports since the new DL. So LL get it right! Your are worried about stupid stuff, fix the DAM game and worry about stupid crap later. I teleport I got attachments in the butt, then I teleport again out of the blue and sends me to Reboot land. You say go to blog but you close it for replies cos you dont want to hear it. Well if you took your car in to get fixed and you told the mechanic what your car is doing and he/ she ignores you, I think you would be upset. Well next time you do that Remember what you do to us.
FIX THE BUGS!

I don't know if this is the right place for this but I'm not sure what the problem is because I found out that a friend, who's with me could login in, we're on the east coast, but when I tried again just to check it-it still was telling me I couldn't login until...like my 1st post in this thread.
And my friend said it was showing that I was on i.e logged in to SL???!
I had logged off sucessfully prior to not being able to login-so I have NO idea what's going on.
I'm sort of glad to know it's not just me though-but this is too much trouble-for now I'll try another rpg and check out SL again in a couple of months.
