Avatars showing as green & yellow figures

Hi there

I joined Second life last week and have only used it three times.

Each time, every avatar including myself has appeared as a red or green and yellow figure. I can't see any features or clothes, everyone is just a coloured shape.

Why is this?

Welcome to Second Life, Jem. What you describe commonly sounds like unfortunately incompatible graphics hardware. Do all your computer parts meet our System Requirements?

Sometimes, Edit menu > Preferences > Graphics Detail and unchecking "Avatar Vertex Program" may work.

I was having this same issue. Turning off the "Vertex" worked for me. Thanks!

Hi there

Yes, luckily my computer is has a very high spec and I've just turned off the Avater Vertex Program this and its worked!
