Your doing WHAT ?
06-28-2006 14:49
I'm sorrey to say that 1.10.5 is causing me worse lag still.
I would gladly swap flexi prims and the rest for the ability to WALK. I have given up a shopping trip... lag was so bad I could not walk from one vendor to the next. If I had my way the Lindens would self impose a rule that they did not introduce a new feature without getting a majority vote for it from residents.... DEMOCRACY. Maybe the residents like me just want the next feature to be low lag... Regards Jonathan. |

Lag, Crashing In 4 To 5 Minutes
06-28-2006 16:02
since this update, can log in but cant seem to move, typing is like typing in major slow speed so that frustration level hits max before the words typed show up, forget backspacing to correct a typing error.
and then top it off with have crashed out now every single time within 5 minutes. what the heck is going on. am confused, frustrated, upset, seems to me this is worse, majorly worse. |

Fix for upgrade issues
06-28-2006 16:40
To All,
After upgrading to the latest version I could not connect to the SL server without doing an update which I had already done. I emailed tech support and received a prompt reply ( thank you, thank you ) which I am happy to report worked beautifully. Here are the steps below that you need to follow if you are having this difficulty. Looking forward to meeting you all, Dawn Day 1) Open c:\Documents and Settings\(yourusername)\Local Settings and delete the contents of your Temp folder. 2) Open c:\Documents and Settings\(yourusername)\Application Data\Second Life and delete the contents of the Cache folder. 3) Uninstall Second Life using the Add/Remove Programs tool in your Windows Control Panel. 4) Visit http://secondlife.com/download and download and install the latest release. NOTE: If you cannot see the files or folders, go to the Tools menu, choose Options, go to the View tab, and select Show Hidden Files and Folders. Then click OK. |
