Interesting problem, most likely graphics card

I've got an interesting problem, I have read alot of the faqs and such and all I can figure is that my graphics card is not supported. The problem I see with this is that the game loads fine and I can get in and run around just fine for about 10 seconds (which leads me to believe that my graphics card works fine). After 10 seconds the game just crashes, sometimes the thing that should send info about what happened to make it crash doesn't even pop up. My graphics card is an ATI MOBILITY FIRE GL T2. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is my graphics card just not compatible enough?

I believe (based on a quick web search) that it's based on a Radeon 9600 chipset, so the hardware's not so much the issue. But drivers are going to be very interesting.

ATI's FireGL series is designed more for CAD/design work and less for games. From what I've seen of the drivers, they tend to focus more on being mathematically precise and less optimized for speed.

From what I can see of your crash logs, the ATI driver is what's causing the crash. Unfortunately, I know ATI does not provide drivers for mobile Radeon chipsets... I'm not sure what FireGL support they provide. The laptop manufacturers' drivers are often significantly out of date.

There may be a third-party driver that can help you run Second Life. Unfortunately, third-party drivers are not supported by Linden, ATI, or your laptop manufacturer. However, it still may be worth trying.
