Log-in Problems
06-03-2006 19:59
On 6-2-06 and 6-3-06 I've also had log-in problems. Today I tried to log in at 7:41 pm. At 7:44 pm a message came on saying "...something unexpected has gone wrong..." It said to check this forum announcement, so I did.
The forum announcement says SL is open. No it's not, unless it opened in the approximately 30 seconds between my logging off SL and onto the website forums.
The last two SL downloaded "improvements" have caused many problems--sims going down in the middle of scheduled events, 2+ minute log-ins. Sometimes my av walks as if it's going through an olympic sized pool of jello.
In the forums tonight it says there's going to be yet another SL "improvement" download on Wednesday. Have you forgotten Ann Landers famous one-liner-- "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

i've also had a problem logging on and then not being able to relog after crashing. today it also made my firewall go bonkers for a good long while. i'm hoping this next update fixes some of these issues not only with logging on but also with crashing/getting stuck etc.

These frequently come down to firewall issues.

In all seriousness, if you have McAfee, Norton, or ZoneAlarm installed, you really should reconfigure it just to make sure it's not a cause.
