Help! Cant log in - stuck on clearing cache

Can someone help please?

I tried to clear my SL cache today. From memory the steps i followed were: edit/network/clear cache/OK ... then i logged off and tried to get back in. I got the usual "detecting settings"etc but then the logon got stuck on "clearing cache" and wouldnt progress. I tried several times and also rebooted my computer with no success. I also cleared my computer's cache via Windows. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the SL client but still have the same issue.

Is it me or a bug or what? Any ideas?

Try manually deleting the cache folder from your hard drive. The cache folder will be rebuilt the next time you start SL. The location of the file varies with operating system but the default Vista location is:

c:\users\[name]\AppData\local\Second Life

Took me a while to get back in - 3 days in fact. Had to find and delete lotsa SL files - seems some were corrupt. Appreciate the help
